Internet Street

Gail's Note:
In this poem, "generation" refers to a group of individuals belonging to a specific category at the same time. This is not necessarily age-related.
It's the "mouth" generation
And anything goes.
Don't worry about feelings
Or "stepping on toes."
And if people think differently
That's not your prob
Even if its your words
That are making them sob.
So much for "pc"
or for being discreet.
"All" is out in the open.
"All" is out on the Internet Street.
Come on - shame has no place
In a world so techno.
We are racing through web-space.
To do otherwise would be retro.
Solid values are not keeping up
With the speed of the web.
They are evolving or left behind,
And some good ones seem dead.
People are people.
Let's not forget
That the essence of who we are
No matter how we communicate
Shouldn't be dis-respect.
