Internal Battle!

Rainbow of hues permeate a spectrum of black
Skin tones from rich, dark chocolate, to caramel and back
Beauty encased in a myriad of tones
All equally and exceptionally outstanding and rare

Beauty was to be in the eye of the beholder
But someone offered us a tapestry to view
An opportunity of greatness is lost on us all
Instead our pettiness and smallness shows through

Watching from within, and seeing without
Seeking insight, to our never ending plight
Of self inflicting conflict, and our battles we fought
These flesh tones paint a picture of our internal fight.
