Intense

thinking about this whole thing
things that have happened
from the very first hello to that last goodbye
the only thing I can figure
in this lengthy analysis is that
relationships can be intense

it is right brain, left brain
and everything in between
it is chemical, physical, biological too
it is emotional, devotional, sometimes temperamental
it is what we can't hold back
what we can't give back
and sometimes words that we can't take back

there just isn't rhyme or reason
and forget the equations
the psychology and self-help books
it is really simple addition
you know, one and one makes two
it all comes down to  
investing of your heart
giving it your best shot
closing your eyes and diving right in
