Instinctive It's Not

-*-*instinctive...
   human nature
        is not...
   human nature
    is not natural
      what is it
     it surrounds
      our being
      it's woven
        into us
      truly, it's
    society's and
 culture's influences
        merged
 that's human nature

Ah, the 'nature vs nurture' mystery, succinctly well put!

You're so right. Hadn't really seen the classification clearly, but you did. Thank you for the insight, Michelle. Best wishes, Gershon

This is a very deep, ponderous write despite using only so few words. Very well done and good luck in the contest.

Another hmmm! I agree & could chew on this one for a while Wolfman. Been researching our brains a helluva lot lately, the "hijacked amygdala", the animal brain, our larger than any other animal cortex, and always rattling in the back of my mind is we're too smart to function, how we were not designed to live in the ways our society has evolved, from "disorders" to inflamatory diet to the soles of our shoes disconnecting us from the earths electromagnetic pulse. Chewy poetry. A winner for me! xo

...be it human nature to override/neglect/ignore instinct? Oh I really have to shut my brain off for the night.
