' Instinct '
Basic Instinct, Represents
A Trained, Quick, Intelligent
On-Target-Intent and Action-Sent
to Inner-Caution, Quite Distinct…
If Properly Used:
Can Save Your Life
If Incorrect – Clue
May Start Lies and Strife
… but That Gut-Feeling, or Tense-Impression
Is one of our First Object-Lessons
Its Innate, Right-On-Cue… Strong
Its Hardly Ever Wrong …
… even Babies, have it, when they’re Born
Watch ‘em… Even they Sense Harm…
And Children have a Natural Instinct…
That’s what Keeps them Innocent
Seems, as We Age, tho’ - We’re Embarrassed to Use
That Which Protects Us from Abuse
Instinct… It may be Unexplainable
But Love, It is Most Indispensable
So Stranger, Excuse Me… If I (tuck-tail and Run)
That ‘Thing’, God Gave me, said, “Get Gone, Hon!”
… Instinct …
