Inspired by Telepathic Piece by Robert Barry

encountered in the experiential
draft to drift and incidental 
tangled shoelaces, untamed minds
delve and tease, see what we find

divine direction, you are the flow
gather me up, I wish to go
no back up if lose all trace
I'm unabashed by what we chase 

curl and spiral, wrap me in reeds
submerge, nurture, sow the seeds
overcome and utterly entrance
thrill by thrill a delicate dance 

I see your thoughts, you see through me
evaporation the lock and the key
I'm safe, you're sound, the code is stored
of tangents as yet unexplored 

some absolutes as we lay spent 
minds opened though nil bad intent
capacity is judge and jury
no will or blame or complex stories

who you are is who you might be
the disillusion is that we're free

David Kavanagh March 15, 2026 at 1:38 PM Telepathy or mind to mind communication is a bit sci/fi to me LG, but I’m pretty sure there are frequencies and wavelengths that the emergent force (or consciousness) can tap into, nonetheless if anything this wonderful Ekphrasis proves beyond any doubt, that you are absolutely fearless when it comes to tackling any form of perceived art whatsoever, your 4th stanza is definitely onto tangents that we’ve yet to explore, this one is way ahead of its time, keep pushing the limits! It's an absolute trip if these thoughts catch you when the mind is open to it - what even are chills and tingles - there's a whole other world of information and it's millimetres from being experienced... Maybe lol! :) David Kavanagh March 15, 2026 at 2:10 PM I also believe some wavelengths exist outside of time; our ancestors definitely tapped into them and sent us on our way, yes there is definitely something in catching the right vibes, as poets we only know this too well! :) Laurentine G March 15, 2026 at 1:48 PM It opens lots of interesting angles - signalling and intuition probably get mixed in with telepathy. My children regularly still play testing telepathy and so far I've not shown any talent for it :) I don't rule it out though, it feels like a tuning barrier rather than an impossibility. I adore wavelengths - catching the right vibe impacts people physiologically - there has to be something in that! Thanks for stopping by :)

It strikes me as more of Universal Consciousness sort of thing. But, yeah. Laurentine G March 14, 2026 at 3:59 PM It's an interesting idea, what we might receive from the thoughts of others. Resonance certainly made a lot more sense after I became a poet. Keeping an open mind but it's still undecided about most of these types of things :) thank you for your kind comment :)
