Inspiration

Flickering sparks of creativity
Fluidly flowing phantoms, not tethered by time or logic
Unintelligible shadows twisting about as formless vapor
Teasing me with the occasional glimpse of meaning and clarity
Whispering vague ideas and subtle musings
Swirling memories and lucid yet imaginative thoughts
They are born and die in brief fits of inspiration
Poetically imprecise as a roll of the dice
Wondrous wisps weaving words like a widows woeful webs
Encrypted thoughts and entangled plots
Whether they be angels or demons
They are a poets inspiration
