Inspiration

A switch clicks,
A light flicks,
An idea occurs.
Oh, help! Catch it quick!
Quick! Before it blurs!
I shoot out of bed in pyjamas,
I zoom speedy quick down the hall.
I grab a pen and paper,
And quickly write down it all.
Whew! What relief! I’ve made it!
I breathe a nice long sigh.
I was just about to lose it, you know why.
I turn off the light
And climb back into bed,
Snuggling up tight.
I’ve decided to keep some stationary beside me.
While I go to bed-
Just in case
An idea occurs.
