Inspiration

The ring of hammers and speeches from higher authorities can only be the slightest aid to ease these men to battle as they ready their swords and bows for their possessions that may no longer be theirs." Why all this war, why must we risk our lives when we are all the same, damn voices, that is all I hear, they do not help... all it does is remind me that we are all going to die," the man arises from his chair as does his mates, a priest gives them their blessing and they head outside the castle," as I stand here like a fool all that crosses my mind is my daughter, my wife, what if we die, I cannot bear what their suffer wil be and I, failing them..," the men watch the soldiers fighting keeping the enemies away from the castle and these men must stay for the sake of their possessions." Why must we wait! I cannot bear watch our friends die, being slaughterd, but we must be the second front, why does our king make us stay here, if I can just," the enemies finish off the group and come for the men in the gate." Here is my doom, there are about ten left and they do not show fear, I will fight with all I've got." the men prepare and launch, a brutal battle, the men are all dead except the observer, " I, almost died, my brothers, dead before my eyes, the archers behind me didn't even shoot as often I had hope and with that our men may have made it, we are done right? I must return to my family, to hold them once again is all Id ever desire." the man that survived returns is granted an honors way of living forever scared by his occasion and forever happy his family is alive and well, only hoping another battle is no longer necessary.
