Insomnia

Emotions turmoil and bubble outa control
Timeless minutes devour me whole
Caged inside longing to be free
In fear of what becomes me
Poster child for being alone
Nights wondering who I can phone
Spitting image of self denial
Staring at the numbers I wish to dial
Haunted house cowering inside
Mirrors reflection filled with lies
Hands choking the sites I see
Demons chattering laughing with glee
Voices protrude and vibrate my inner drum
Darkness grows like I have a green thumb
Flying carpets take me away
Please let me sleep and end this long day
