Notes About The Poem

I don't really have insomnia now but did in the past. Now I'm too tired to sleep. Or I rest a few hours nodding off but waking at 3am to reluctantly write. Such is life with chronic illnesses. No pity needed just venting. Hugs

Insomnia

Insomnia sucks
Sandman is playing my song
Woke so sing along

I finally created my contest inspired by your breakfast acrostic. Did you see? A little different in topic from yours but also similar!

Yes I was so exhausted I hadn’t the energy to write for it just yet! But I will if it doesn’t fill up beforehand. I’m honored my poem inspired you but you frankly always have great ideas!

I really relate to this one. I go to bed late, sometimes nodding off when I don't want to be. Then around 2 or 3 , when I normally try to sleep, I usually can get to sleep. My problem is that without fail, I simply wake up two hours later with no explanation. It's at this point that the insomnia gets me so inevitably I have to take my 30 mg of temazapan. The only prescribed pill that has worked. It's a benzo. Maybe it would work for you. It gives me only 3 extra hours of sleep . I end up 6 hrs!

Really? Hmmm I had no idea you had issues with sleeping. Thanks dear poetess for sharing. I’m determined to get better sleep. It may be menopause or the fact that I refuse to use my Cpap machine. But I’m up again still tired so will write. Hugs
