Inside My Mind

Inside my mind

Colorful expressions
Of righteous peace
With thoughts of war
Intwined with my anxiety
For a world
Without dimwitted humans.

Craving inspiration
From these wonderful sounds,
These wonderful sights,
These wonderful feelings
That I experience daily,
But mankind has a different approach.

Why explain
When we can have wars?
Why speak
When we can have riots?
Why walk a mile in another's shoes
When we can murder?

The torturous journey
Through life
That I face is not half way completed,
Yet I can't bare the wait to see what our intelligent leaders
Have done to improve our nation.

Perhaps raise taxes,
Possibly decrease funds in schools,
One can only hope that these people discover sense.
