Inside my head is rather cluttered Memories of past blur into memories of present Looking back to see the many hopes and dreams of a child Dreams shattered by reality only to be redistributed into new things So many things learned that have become a legacy with no practical use The joy of finding love to have love lost Memories of being knocked down and then standing back up Reaching out… Sacrifice… Compromise… Honor… Love… Pondering less on successes and more on mistakes Feeling love within my heart for the sacrifices so I may have a chance Embracing forgiveness enabling other things like love, peace, hope, and joy Having a heavy heart for all of those who lost someone who was close to them Seeing others go through life without the tender touch of those who were dear to them Sharing life with my best friend and wife Having peace within my heart knowing that life is what it is

A 7, for sure, Edward! What a wonderful "clutter" of living and learning, falling and getting right back up! Janice

If a mind is to be cluttered you have chosen to clutter yours with the most precious of things. Well written, filled with much wisdom.

VERY nice. Your mind is not cluttered. It is furnished very comfortably. I like the pattern this made too, with the shorter lines in the middle. WEll, I better hurry on MY entry. this one is going FAST.

This is such a thoughtful, insightful piece about a range of life experiences that quite a few of us can actually ditto and identify with! Excellent reflective write! Good luck in the contest, my friend! Pandita

Thank you Pandita...the weather is teasing us with the possibility of rain, but no dance yet :)

So much thoughtful sincerity here, Ed. Didn't gauge from your pic that you'd be among the "old" and qualified to join. Anyway, goodluck!

The picture is about 4 years old of me standing in front of a waterfall. I have been blessed that the shell on the outside has not aged that much; a few wrinkles, very little gray...My wife is much younger than I am so she keeps me on my toes, but sometimes in the morning, I feel all 61 years of my life and more. I am not sure if that is old?
