Inside Jokes
I remember
the way your eyes
would light up
every time you
smile.
I remember
our strange ways.
the way we
joked pointless jokes,be!
laughed for pointless reasons.
I remember our
false innocence
The way we ran in the rain.
When the librarian
yelled at us
and we laughed.
I remember
how we ate mint chocolate
and got hyper,
and you took my ten dollar bill
and I lost it after
you gave it back to me.
And now,
All that's left of that
are our inside jokes.
And every time
I see someone
get mint chocolate,
I think of the best day of my life.
