Inside Darkness

Inside the statued gardens where tears fall The final words before eternal flame That stands alone to face the grief and shame Nowhere to hide the soul must bare its all. All wrongs in deed and word, both large and small Lie naked in the darkness at time’s end; No silken cloth can hide as fears defend Yet here, this place is where I hear her call. When in my shame she gives me ways of hope The chance to see there is a better way Inside darkness there is a brighter scope I place my soul to her silvery ray. And now I know she is there, by my side For it is her destiny I must ride.
