Inside

I love it 
when I can
hold you so close
that our skin wants to
meld into a single layer
that envelopes us as one
 body with two hearts inside
  beating together, beating together,  
   beating together, in sweet syncopation
  two hearts, beating together in such
 a sweet rhythm, that forever
will make our blood flow
throughout that 1 body 
inside the skin we now
share because I can
hold you so close 
and I love it
that I can
