Insecurity
Insecurity is an invisible boogeyman
Hiding in the closet waiting for the lights to go out
When you lay in bed you replay every word
And it's absurd how embarrassed you might feel
There were missed opportunities
And times you probably went overboard
Was your hair out of place or perfectly neat
Did your clothes have any odd stains you missed
You obsess over micro details like a scientist
And every imperfection makes you cringe
And yet you never stop to realize
You're the not the only one doing this
You never stop and think others worry
Just as much as you do
And you shouldn't worry what other people think of you
Because nobody ever thinks of you
We're all too busy caught up in our own heads
To simply enjoy the moment laid out before us
So you birth your own demons the more you worry
It's best to relax and take a deep breath
