Insecure

I wish I could see myself through another's eyes
cause unfortunately my soul has been beaten
so badly that though I have perfect vision
I've been manipulation into seeing lies for truth

all the negatives that people have thrown at me
come back ten folds and its what I begin to see
the reality of situations are blurry to me
so many blows landing direct K.O's to my ego

I was raised in a hostile situation
Nothing positive was ever thrown my way by my peers
I never got the chance to be natured
my self confidence is lower than a submarine
searching for gold in the ocean

People say they don't get why i'm that way
such a beautiful girl like me should be full of pride
I think a part of me got broken from all the bullying
Now i'm out in the real world and away from
all the pain and the hurt that I used to be around

But it's still the same
these people left huge bruises on my brain
they took my insecurities and slit them open
until I could no longer function

Now I question what I see in the mirror
I question all theses curious stares
I fear i'll never be cured
and that through these eyes I will
always be blind.
