Insatiable Love

stood still soaking up the rain
A cold embrace shook me
Sent shivers down my back
Waters of despair fell relentless
Over my head, in rivers
Beneath the foggy mist
Your smile appeared
like heaven and earth kissed
Colliding, in front front of me
The warmth of your breath
Awoke a million butterflies
At the gentle melody
Of your voice, a lullaby
Immoderately filled with delight
You held out your hand,
The glow of your presence was bright
Your touch was cool
Full of endearment that warmed my soul
Your glow welcomed and aspired
It could not quench the thirst
Every bit of you that I desire
The lips of an angel,
Smooth and beautiful
They drew closer,
Passion burning within me
And before they could meet
There was nothing I could see
My heart paused a beat
As happiness gleamed
I roused,
It was only a dream
