Insanity

We all have lamps by our nightstand. The lamp struts around the room at night. Turns on and off. Not flickering. Just talking in a lamp-like way. I threw my blankets out the window. I wish that did something. In my sleep I- Could not stop any ghost from possessing me. I wake up every 30 minutes. And the ghost- Is making me too sweaty. I gave my lamp away. To a friend who is moving to a different state. I wish I cared enough not to put the curse on someone else. I called him up a week later. He’s doing fine. A week can go by. So easily. Even when the ghost is eating all my snacks at night. A week goes by. I left too many cookie crumbs on the floor. That’s how I know he’s here. I would give away my house if I could. But I live in an apartment and nothing makes sense anymore. My friend wonders if I’m alive. I say I died. He doesn’t believe me. Alone in my living room. The pizza is cold again. I heated it up again. The pizza is cold. Again.
