Insane Obsession

As addicted as she was, she knew her love for him was madness
Searching her soul, she wondered why he held her power
She could not help this insane obsession, relinquishing herself
She was as helpless as a Luna moth flying into his scorching light

Searching her soul, she wondered why he held her power
Flitting and fluttering his handsome ways toward other women
She was as helpless as a Luna moth flying into his scorching light
They were evidently remnants of a love affair from another lifetime

Flitting and fluttering his handsome ways toward other women
She could not help this insane obsession, relinquishing herself
They were evidently remnants of a love affair from another lifetime
As addicted as she was, she knew her love for him was madness

This is marvelous, Caren. I read it twice. Your lines are just perfect. AND, don't let anyone tell you a pantoum has to rhyme. It doesn't! You have written a beautiful one.

Thank you Hank. I love trying pantoums. I always feel they are mere "tries"

Caren, Insane, never the song of this two. Madness is just what the stars always wanted for you. -Richard
