Inquisitive
Inquisitive mind,
precious, sweet face.
World full of wonder,
brought here by grace.
Universe opens
just out the door.
Nature is calling;
much to explore.
Things I would show you:
to seek, to avoid.
Patience: a treasure;
don’t be annoyed.
The woods, they are calling,
and everything talks:
still quiet voices
from underneath rocks.
The black salamander:
inside your head,
he might seem scary,
but wiggles instead.
Shy little turtle,
scared in his shell.
Hold him so gently,
then wish him well.
Hiking with Greta,
precious and sweet;
when you are three,
everything’s neat.
