Inny Or Outie?

Though everybody has one
No two are quite the same
Some are in and some are out
It was probably the doctor's aim

I'm talking about the belly button
For some a pocket for lent
Tho most don't know how it got there
Or even where it went

It could even be a fire hazard
For those with a great big belly
Lent piled up for quite a while
Tends to be a little bit smelly

It used to be a feeding tube
A type of feed bag if you will
No messes to be cleand up
For no food would ever spill

And though it served its purpose
It's now just decoration
But still a pretty good place
To start a conversation
