Innocent of Guilt

Don’t speak to me of such things while we stand together on the edge looking down at broken hearts and spades as black as my heart during days of the past when I knew or felt I could know what loneliness really is. Don’t speak of the past we haven’t shared together, cast no guilt upon yourself, for I myself am not innocent of guilt. We shared our bodies with others, kissed lips that belonged not to us, and now the seeds of those wasted days lie in the ruins of torment, best to remain forgotten as we walk the path of our new life here where you may listen as I gaze into your soul catching eyes where I find myself staring for hours - just poke air holes so I may breathe and I shall serve you to the end. Here, listen as we dance the stars to sleep with the movements of our moist bodies pressing together beneath silky sheets where you can hear me, where we can pretend to leave and meet again only when our hearts collide. Here. Listen. I’m not much a poet but your lover and I shall forget the silence of remorse that beats the drum in the dark patch just beyond the light of hope, for romance again dances in my heart while I stare into those soul-catching eyes shining like stars on a crystal night. All kisses now tenderly play upon my heart while I see such sweet smiles and hear passionate whispers, soft gentle sighs lying in harmony beside me where no longer will that remorseful clown at midnight feed me bitter dreams, for the dark angel has fallen and you have risen again. So kiss me before this light fails, so I may once more raise my heart from the earth and embrace you while we stand here within our eternal love, innocent of guilt.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
