Innocent Memories
So pure, So precious, So pretty
That little girl I used to be
The innocence with all it's glory
Why did these things go in such a hurry?
My purity and innocence lost
Never to return, not even for a cost
Frozen in time forever more
Mere images sketched in my brain galore.
More wrinkles with age
My prettiness fades
Forever in my poor mind where it fixtures
Beauty only caught in pictures.
Wish I could get back what will never be forgotten
I do think about this ever so often
But the memories of age have made all this of worth
So I'll leave the past behind and keep moving forth.
