Innocent Hearts

O’ Bitter World

         malice abound

Small hearts bleed
         dying all around

Little souls gone
         call heaven home

Families left weeping
          mourning all alone.

O’ Cruel World

No child is safe -
           School, Work or Play -

Protection is lost
           Day by day -

O’ Bitter Earth -

We’re living
            In “Grieving Towns,”

WarZone destruction
            On campus grounds.....

When will it end?

Man; his guns
             Will strike again -
