INNOCENCE OF A CHILD

 dear child,
you, cause the rust and crust to glitter
you cause every sour time to ripe
every blur moment becomes so bright and shines
you cause all grief to fade away
you make each morning feel worthwhile

Your innocence so pure as gold,
in you truth find it's home
innocent and fragile, so unbreakable,
a yoke of trust, a diamond of transparency
raw as crude, the miners can't find
whiter than the snow, seen through than ice
in coldest summer, so enough to keep the earth warm.

What can compare?, What can reflect?
who can reject , who can neglect?
this that is so pure, whatsoever will refuse?
breaks the feathers of hate
clip the wings of lies
innocence clearer than a thousand streams of sincerity
what can replace?, what will purchase?
you heal the word with pure purity.
