Innocence

Your precious innocence resides
above all accusation, beneath those swirling tides,
cradled before your childhood, flowering in your grace
awakening in the startling radiance of your face.

No hand could mar, no aggression stain
the beauty of your soul, innocent as rain,
the light that surfaces in a moment's grace
and bathes your childlike, angel face.

Look deep, deep within the mirrored light
of pooling laughter, sweet delight,
that fills every darkling place
with the radiance of your precious face.

Flowers turn and murmurs rise
to see the innocence in your eyes,
and capture every shining trace
of Mimi's unforgettable face.
