Inner Joy

Arid grains
unseized on time
slipped into
the hourglass
of life
by time
cradled by media
winds
on sand sweet
as waves of
earthly events
the day sweep
adrift
and not a wink
its wealth to dig
and set on fire
its ice
to sprout
new spring
songs of brooks
butterflies
and bees
robins' flights
in periwinkle sky
arid instants
one by one
fill heart
without a friend
a boat
without sail
but then
the night surprises
with not a cloud
the desert sky
lights up
with million stars
a ring of pearl
of faith
without end
not shining
to be seen
but for the fun
of being
inviting heart
to let the joy within
be free
not for some reason
but for the joy of being
alive in God
like children's play
not to gain
but games
for the fun of it.
