INNER FREEDOM

Leaping from the nest of isolation
Soaring without a set destination
Force of the wind lifts me up high
Flapping my precious wings in the sky
Sometimes slowly spinning while I glide
Letting my inner compass be my guide

Its the survivors courage for inner freedom
No stress or worries in my inner kingdom
Healed from the narcissist lies and pain from the past
Relieved that I released myself from under their grasp
Took me for granted all while I endured emotional pain
Healing caused tables to turn; there's no more gain

It's easy to tell someone to play the hand that's dealt
Until you experience situations causing the pain they felt
As I reflect to heal and give thanks for those fated lessons
Patience and forgiveness planted changes upon the seasons
I took my power back from every experience that stole it
Unveiling my courage, resilience, confidence and true wit.
