Inner Demons

She puts on a brave face
and prepares to wage the battle
she has every day
It's not her fault,
she didn't start this war
But, she'll be damned
if she gives up
She's a fighter
and holds on tooth and nail
But, will her true self ,
or the evil triumph?
At times,
the storms rage inside her,
as she reaches out for an anchor rope.
Then his hand is there,
his arms around her
as tremors rack her body.
His smile, a lighthouse
to guide her through the chaos
His love, a warm light
to drive the demons
back deep into the darkness

I think there has come a time in all of our lives that we have to wage the war against our personal demons and how fortunate it is if we have someone there to help us through, enjoyed this very much!
