Inner Beauty

I may not be a vision of human perfection Nor someone you desire But I am a unique creation A vision of my own A beating heart lay in my chest One with love Compassion and respect Coursing through with each beat My body is my temple Even though it is not near As perfect as those of Fashion models Or playboy centerfolds It is mine A part of me It is who I am Of whom I once was And now come to be I have my own feelings You seem to like to walk over Carelessly going about Your own way Blind-sided By the surface beauty That in time does fade Like all else And she will end up just like me While you look past my inner beauty And fail to see Who I am And what I can be
