Initiation

There comes a moment
when the self
that once survived
by collapsing,
begins to rise
through reconstruction.

Not as a return to who it was,
but as a reclamation
of every fragmented piece
it once abandoned
to stay alive.

Thank you so much for your words, Ghairo. I have always been an expert in long poems, however stumbled on a road of short and as real as I can. I truly appreciate you reading and commenting! Much light, Skye
