Great write, Carolyn. It is moves me that your twist to this contest was not silly witty but more reverent. Shows your deep respect for John's family and it touches me deeply! Congrats. Hope u are feeling well this day! A big huggy wuggy for u! (aren't I a corn ball!?) Gwendolen

different take on the contest. I like the way you use the contests to bring out the things you want to share. This is indeed a tragic story. Moves me to sadness for those left behind.

When it comes down to it I think we all try to avoid fate at times. It's wonderful that John's mother and sister were good people. Some of the entries are very funny but this one is moving. Good luck in the contest. Best to you, Diane

Wow...genetics is often the path of our fate, isn't it, Carolyn. It is a beautiful gift that you can remain close with John's sister--I hope she has his eyes and it will bring u much comfort. Nice idea of Doc's for this contest--not thot of it much-u should do VERY well...if I wrote about my first set of in-laws--America's Most Wanted might find them...ohhhhhh. ha ha. You must have sat in the waiting roooom a long time today to write these 3 lovely poems. At least u had pen and pad in hand.
