Ingratitude Waltz Abb

INGRATITUDE WALTZ

How could you give me such extreme distress
While my care for you has always been so strong
Did I not show where you were going wrong?

When you spent such toil on your pathetic writing
I enlightened you how you were wasting time
Put you straight and got you back again in line

The expression of ideas you took delight in
But you wilfully rejected all of mine
Your rebelliousness it really was a crime

Don’t you know that you need me to make your judgement
For yours is only giving me vexation
Can’t be trusted to make self determination

You would still be in religious cult induction
If I hadn't made a plan for your salvation
For your own sake had to use incarceration

With your protests diagnosed as bipolarity
Shrinks insisted drugs and ECT were kind
Would bring you to more compliant frame of mind

And yet you now show such a lack of gratitude
All my caring seems to be misunderstood
Yet I've always done what's purely for your good

In my mind I hear a dark but syrupy voice and the tormentor of your poem brushes the hair from my eyes and picks the lint off my clothes and oils my chains.... The few people I have known who believe they are judge and standard, feel a heavy burden to straighten things out. Miserable situation. Creepy good write :)
