Infinitely I Adore You

In the company of darkness, I find my mind allured by your existence My heart thumps against my chest, a daring heart…a longing heart It wishes to come to your light, so it may cast the prettiest of shadows And so you may shine brighter against the contrast of its blackness My heart is not fully black—no…it couldn’t be, as it is fixated on you In the shade of tall trees, I look beyond myself and into the sky The beauty overhead is astounding, and reminds me of your kindness It reminds me that someone still looks up, even when Death peeks down It reminds me that the space Beyond welcomes my heart to freedom Into your sweet embrace Into your loving spirit, your surviving sensitivity Into the Beyond where shadows and lights dance as equals Take my hand, and I will watch your step As you explore the lands I have long roamed alone And you will guide me through myself, and into Beyond Where love prevails and quiets Death’s hefty cries In your company, my existence becomes more meaningful, brighter My heart and body are full of gratitude, thanks to your idyllic touch It no longer longs, wishing for the distance between us to diminish It smiles and gains new color, distinctive against many dark nights You remind me to see ahead, straight into your delectable love… And fold against enlightenment, strong and resilient Into the fray revealing truths that only you and I can relay Into the very soul of your genius, mastered by your faith Tonight, I allow you to enter my dim-lit world In hope you may share in my sacred epiphanies In hope that you will see how infinitely I adore you So we might distribute our insights to bud new stars

One feels enriched by reading this poem, Laura. The love spoken of here is so imbued with the ideal that there is no way but feel better and be better in the presence of the one who inspires such beauty and eloquent write. "So we may distribute our insights to bud new stars" speaks of the only possible outcome from such union. Loved it. Another 7. Kim :-)

The best love is the kind that strengthens the Self Laura. This poem is special to me, mostly because it eloquently shows how much stronger we can be when we share our hearts. "It reminds me that there is still someone who still looks up, even when Death peeks down..." the sincerity in this poem is very beautiful Laura...J.A.B.
