Infinite and Discrete

You are a thing of great beauty,
both infinite and discrete.
You set your sights on someone,
and the light that follows you,
It shines on them now, too.
Love, you whisper to them,
It is not a sin to be forgiven.

Your power becomes their power.

When they taste the world again
It is your hunger that drives them.
And as you let their lips discover,
they become the greatest lover
that this poor world shall ever see.

Their power becomes your power.

I am a thing of great beauty,
both infinite and discrete.
My power became your power
My soul gave you speech.
