Infections

I no longer want to live like this
My soul is so empty
Maybe, if I would have known better
The weight wouldn’t have been so heavy.

I thought my credentials would spike
And I would leave having done the right thing,
I bid farewell to my intentions
But say hello to a new direction.

I understood the experience could be quite difficult
Just way too many unanswered questions,
My strength dwindles tremendously
The cure is absolute prevention,
Cause tensions runs high
The circumstance needs immediate attention,
Self reflections aren’t enough
I’m a host to many acidic infections,
My base was that of love
And now I’m not sure.
