Inevitable
We can't escape.
All of you, every last one of you,
You see what I see.
Barricading ourselves from interactions which define us as living things,
Lurking about on a specimen of actual existence,
The reprogramming thrives.
We lose signs of humanity,
Developing, yet self-destructing in our fatal addictions,
All for the sake of imprisonment?
What is this,
But none other than that of a mental cage,
Prepared to lock us in from the moment we made the error of interest.
I feel it, you feel it,
As you read, eyes burning into the very screen that claims you,
The trickery of the computer overrides.
