For once I must disagree, though I do like your statement and I understand how it could come to be. But I believe the earthly delights, nature and the beauty of each day were put here for us to enjoy along with the anticipation of heaven.

Yes, I agree it is difficult to include everything in 12 words, though I have seen you do it so masterfully over and over again I just didn't take the time to completely digest what you said and to be honest, after posting my comment, I thought about it and realized I was wrong but left the comment up so you could use the opportunity to explain your thoughts so others could see them as well.

My dearest friend, Chris, my statement has not to do with people like me, see my reply to our friend, WW! It concerns those few who completely indulge their soul in the heavenly delights of love and service to others, those who deny themselves for the glory of God: The likes of St Francis of Assisi and more recently, Mother Theresa! All of us who have not reached that state of devotion and denial of self, Yes, may indulge in what pleasures you refer to! Notice, that even to these people of God I say that they enjoy certain things even rarely! If you still disagree, then let us disagree with love and understanding my friend! PS: It is difficult to include everything in 12 words my friend. Don't you think?
