Indescribable

It's that rush of exultation,
When you realize your love is returned.
It's that moment of breathless sorrow,
before the tears begin to fall.
It's the precious memories of joy,
When laughter clogged your throat.
It's those times when the thrill of celebration
Give way to the pain of loss.
It's the cry of your newborn child,
Upon taking that first breath.
It's the light in a parent's eyes,
Fading into a look of non-recognition.
These are the things that defy description,
The things that life is made of.
