INDEPENDENCE DAY
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” July 4th 1776 July 4th USA Independence Day A day to rejoice and to remember Set aside the bitter lessons of war Not only peace-loving Americans but all others That indeed her sons and daughters are the pioneers Democrats and Republicans alike From Washington down to Obama Must join hands together So, political parties in other parts of the world Will follow as sovereign in their own rights In the name of DEMOCRACY That indeed, ours is a gov’t of, by and for the people The statue of Liberty here enshrined A glorious remembrance that We are man of all nations “In God We Trust”

If only we still continued to follow our Constitution for long ago Dalila our country would not be in so much debt and wasteful spending.. not one persons fault but a multitude of persons making bad decisions and our economy at at all time low but your poetry at an all time high with this patriotic write ..thankxx.. sorry u missed the contest just closed ..this would be a STAR..luv..
