Indelible Memories of Sokoto

In Northern lands, where memories reside,
A tale of communal living, forever to abide.
Among the indigent, a unique bond takes hold,
Rich and poor entwined, young and old.

On mats, they gather, a symbol of equality's might,
Before God, no segregation, just love shining bright.
Sokoto's atmosphere, a haven for strangers to roam,
A place where hearts are open, and love is made known.

But beware, dear traveler, of the border line,
Where faith and reverence entwine, a sacred, solemn sign.
Friday's zeal and passion, a sight to behold and see,
A day of reverence, a day of devotion, for you and me.

In Sokoto's lovely community, where lovely people reside,
Festivities like Sallah, bring joy, love, and generosity inside.
Giving is their attribute, a virtue they hold so dear,
A trait that sets them apart, year after year.

Oh, Sokoto, I long to behold you once more,
To experience your love, your peace, your hospitality's score.
Sarki Ada, may your days be long and bright,
The Sultan of Sokoto, may your reign be just and tight.
