Incomplete Journey

Bright future, how I await thee
Gleaming before me
Hope fills my heart
Confidence builds steadily

Life is good, worries are scarce
New friends give new life
Seeing the real world for the first time
Realizing how many people are plastic

Nothing lasts forever, dreams fade away
Confusion masks my fear
Uncertainty takes it's toll
Life is ever changing

Surprise becomes an experiment
New challenges are met
New discoveries are made
Life begins to fall apart

Floating in a void, drifting away
Mind becomes hazy, emotions are dull
Isolation is the natural response
Despair takes over

A light shines, a slight warmth
The fog begins to lift
Confusion and uncertainty still rule
Now what does the future hold?

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
