Incandescent In Your Splendour
Incandescent in your splendour

The people who want you to fail so that they can keep you around for when they need you, are not your friends. They are not worthy of being part of your story. But, try to include them anyway.
The colleagues who relax and go home early whilst you toil for the team because you want the best outcome for everyone, they're not your equals. They're not worthy of your dedication. But try to keep being a leader for the team by setting those great examples.
The boss who holds back your promotion because he wants you to help him achieve his career goals, is not a leader. He's not worthy of your loyalty. But try to show him loyalty anyway. You will feel better for it.
The significant other who is only happy to parade you around to improve their social status, is not a true partner. They are not worthy of your devotion. But try to give them your devotion anyway.
Worthy or not, your life path will include people who have their own agendas; who are content for you to play small and remain tied to them. Their biggest fear is that you realise how awesome you are - that you step into your power and shine brightly like a star.
Whether they push you down and help you become a pure diamond of Light or whether they drive you to take the shackles off and fly free from all societal cages, you will be incandescent in your splendour.
