Inauguration
Oh, the promises were made for a victors dance
I pray that fate is much more than chance
Or else we fall victim to circumstance
With a new leader in the house
He said he could change, give what we require
I pray he is right and that he will not tire
That for all he promised he will aspire
And not cower like a mouse
But rather may he stand tall and with pride
With all issues faced, I pray he not hide
With hopes that he will truly decide
While thinking of us all
So, wish him some good wishes on this very day
As he takes his very place in history’s play
Though not an actor, one with the way
May he answer then our call
