Inane Traditions

tradition has ended,poop has won
why do as we have always done?
new generations,new polemics
old ways pass without reflection

why do as we have always done?
we celebrate the inane as tradition,my parents would weep
old ways pass without reflection
the end is near, the end is near

we celebrate the inane as tradition,my parents would weep
baseball as america's game has gone awry
millionaires play without intensity

politicians no longer serve the greater good
they play to focus groups, and become millionaires
who cares about the middle
the low and the high are all that matters
the middle will not hold

personal responsibility has gone awry
the birth place of free speech has gone awry
shouting and insults is the new debate
the end is near, the end is near

The end is indeed near, for our country....I don't see the US lasting another generation or two: we are far too inept and feeble.
