In Your Words

We have never met
Never shared a glance
Never spoke a single word
I never got a chance to see your smile
All I know of you is your words
Written on a glowing screen
Late at night
Alone you sit staring ahead
Typing words, thoughts and feelings
Are you writing them for me to read?
Is the poem a love letter to me?
I can only hope that the thought of me inspired you
How can I know what you were truly thinking?
I can read into your words, between the lines
I look into your heart
I see a loved locked away for ages
Yearning to be released
I see in your words that it was meant for me all along
We have never met
Never shared a glance
Never spoke a single word
I never got a chance to see your smile
All I know of you is your words
And that is who I love

This is a wonderful write, Rob. Even though you and I have "never shared a glance," I do feel like I know you. Thank you for helping me so much last night. Much appreciated, my friend. Love, Carolyn

Robert, I think I knew right away who you were writing this too. Just from reading some of Catie's poems and seeing your comments today. I feel so ashamed it is like reading someone else's mail. Oh what the hay I enjoyed it. Wishing you the best. Love, Carol

Great Robert! and so true that someone's words can touch our very souls. The powerful statements that are being made through the conviences of technology.
