In Your Voice

I have sat in silence for so long I feel the sound of my soul I hear the beat of my heart I can touch the thoughts That cascade over the deafening quiet In silence there is no place to turn But into the skin that holds me to this place In this pale flesh lies a stillness A calm amidst the storm I have sat in silence for so long I welcome the ebb and flow of your words The whispers of a long-forgotten memory Wash over me –in your voice, in the sound I am finally home
