In Your Own Way

in your own way, you loved me
a small piece, but a piece just the same
it just wasn't enough for me

in your own way, you loved me
the line I drew too straight
crimson and deep

in your own way, you loved me
perspective comes and it gets easier
and I can separate fact from fiction

in your own way, you loved me
I will always think of you
listening to the Dylanesque music
a wonderful gift you gave me

in your own way, you loved me
always, when the moon is crescent
I will remember you

in your own way, you loved me
a small piece, but a piece just the same
it just wasn't enough for me
